Your role @ CHANEL The Manager of Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence will contribute to ensuring Insights is a key enabler of the business, against its ambition to be/remain the #1 luxury brand across divisions. They will collaborate closely with the Asia Pacific business divisions and local market management teams to drive key regional research projects that require Consumer Insight & Market Intelligence, to provide inputs to business strategies and action planning across CHANEL Asia Pacific markets, business divisions and corporate functions Focus of the role will be on the South East Asia markets, but tools and methodologies developed in these markets will also be applied to other Asia markets. He / she will liaise as and when necessary, with business divisions and corporate functions to support regional implementation of global / local research projects, or knowledge sharing of regional / local projects.   • Lead all the brand related research projects, reflecting the local value and insights.
  • Lead research projects that generate insight that can drive strategic marketing, communication and retail plans and actions across the company.
  • Analyze and share a range of research studies that build a strong understanding of existing and future audiences.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including corporate and business side and outside agencies.
  • Execute all technical aspects of quantitative, qualitative and social listening initiatives including questionnaire development, social listening query development, analytical planning, and data analysis.
  • Control and manage the research budget with business teams.
  • Execute administrative tasks related to Research and Insights team.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert in building the foundation of market insights expertise and knowledge for the Asia South markets.
  • Playing the role as the counterpart to the Global Insights team in delivering projects in the Asia South markets including brand equity.

What you can bring to the team…
  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, applied mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, business or social services.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of consumer insights experience, ideally gained across both agency and corporate positions
  • Demonstrate the ability to extract value from information and transform it into stories which are sharp and provide actionable insights that deliver consumer centric solutions
  • An ability to challenge, question and seek new and improved ways of working /utilizing data / information and in partnership with research agencies
  • An ability to build and manage independently a broad portfolio of projects and analyses at self and at a divisional level
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation; proven ability to impact and influence teams without formal authority
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills enabling effective working with key internal stakeholders, at regional & local markets
